I’ve been using an IMAP email account for years, and recently I noticed that some of my older emails were no longer available. At first, I thought I had deleted them by mistake, but after checking multiple folders and logging in from different devices, I realized they were gone from the server. That made me realize how risky it is to rely only on a webmail account without keeping an offline backup.
