Anyone regret using Microsoft’s built-in IMAP migration for Office 365?

3 weeks agoWe're currently moving several business mailboxes from a hosted IMAP provider to Microsoft 365, and I'm beginning to wonder if using Microsoft's native migration wizard was the right decision. The setup looked simple enough—upload a CSV, create a migration batch, and wait for completion. However, once users started checking their accounts, several issues appeared.
Some folders were missing entirely, while others contained only part of the original content. A few users also reported that mailbox organization looked completely different from what they had on the source server. Since many employees rely on custom folders to manage projects and client communication, this created unnecessary confusion.
I started researching alternative ways to Migrate IMAP to Office 365 and came across the DRS Softech IMAP Backup Tool. After testing it with a few accounts, I noticed that folder hierarchy remained intact and mailbox data transferred more consistently. The software also allowed multiple mailboxes to be processed together, which reduced the amount of manual work required.
For anyone currently migrating IMAP to Office 365, especially from providers like GoDaddy, cPanel, or other hosted services, I’d strongly recommend testing with a few accounts first. A successful migration isn't just about moving emails—it’s about ensuring users can continue working without spending days reorganizing their mailboxes afterward.

3 weeks agoHey, I went through the same issue a while back and know how frustrating incomplete migrations can be. I would recommend trying Shoviv IMAP to Office 365 Migration Software. It requires no complex setup, migrates all folders without skipping any emails, and handles large mailboxes much faster than Outlook. It also has a date filter option to selectively migrate emails, which keeps your important client data safe. A free trial is available so you can test it before buying. Definitely worth a shot!

1 week agoI Almost Quit Microsoft GH-200 Until Scenario Based Questions Showed Me the Gap
Three weeks into my GH-200 preparation, I was ready to quit. I had read the official Microsoft Learn modules twice. I understood how workflows trigger. I knew the difference between composite actions and JavaScript actions. I could explain OIDC authentication and runner groups. On paper, I was ready.
Then I ran a full practice session of Microsoft GH-200 exam questions and scored 61%. That score did not reflect a knowledge gap. It revealed something worse an application gap. I knew what GitHub Actions features existed. I wasn't sure how to apply them correctly when a scenario question presented three valid-looking options under 100-minute time pressure. That is when I found CertBoosters. The scenario-based GH-200 sample questions were different from anything I had practiced before. Every wrong answer came with a full explanation not just what was correct, but exactly why each wrong option failed. Why using a PAT instead of OIDC was the wrong security choice. Why pinning an action by SHA matters for supply chain safety. Why a reusable workflow and a composite action are not interchangeable. Question by question, the gap closed.I passed the first attempt.
